Booked table via email with 24 hours notice. Arrived early to a window table. Warned of short staff but cannot fault the service or the food or the freshness of ingredients. Staff were fantastic and very accommodating.

This place is very very historic but also very much alive with a family living in and running it, a welcome change from corporate hospitality and a chance to feel the pulse of daily life in this iconic Cornish harbour town.  Reasonable prices and great food as well.  Stay here if you get a chance.

Had to have a cheeky pint in the oldest pub in Fowey. Was impressed with the Hicks :

Had the gourmet burger . Was delicious and well cooked. Lovely atmosphere and friendly bar staff. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Fowey.

The beer is great here, lots of choice. Staff are very nice and friendly. What we had to eat was only nachos, but they were delicious.

Great atmosphere and good menu choice. Superb mussels but can be short of fish on the menu dependent on time of day. Not good chips though.
