This is a beautiful pub in another beautiful Cornish location overlooking the River Fowey at Golant from two tiers of outside seating. We booked for lunch however on this occasion, mid-September it wasn't necessary as there were free tables both inside and out. I can imagine that in season, in good weather booking would be essential. There was a good selection of food on the menu as well as a specials board. My wife had the fish pie and I had pan-fried hake on a bed of chick peas and chorizo in a tomato based sauce. Both dishes were excellent. I got a glimpse of the battered fish and chips being served to another table and it looked excellent too. The service was outstanding and we will be back here very soon. Possibly to try their roast Sunday lunches. Great lunch, thank you.
Really delicious traditional home cooked pub grub, the fish pie was excellent as was the steak and ale. Good selection of ales and a stunning view of the river Fowey from the ample seating on the Riverside terrace. You could spend a whole afternoon watching the boats from here. Proper hidden gem!
NICE! Right next to the river, in the sun, very close to Fowey maybe a good coast path trip?, fantastic staff, very nice fish n chips,...during lunchtime they do "deluxe sides" which is essentially a nice starter just at a better price! I'll definitely go again
Great place to stop off after a lovely walk along the Saints Way. Excellent, tasty food with gluten free options. Good selection of drinks. We will be back!
Really nice atmosphere, very welcoming and awesome outdoor seating area with a lovely view. Food was amazing and also reasonably priced, perfect after a long day of walking.

Amazing time at the fisherman’s arms! My friends and I went earlier today and had amazing food with fantastic service. We highly recommend all of the food. Fantastic vegan options too. Would recommend to everyone! Plus was great eating to old school shakira !
We did a circular walk from the car park, and the pub was suggested as a good place to go before heading back to our vehicle. We had a fantastic meal followed by coffee will definitely visit again when nearby
Came in on a quiet January Saturday night, we both had sublime steak and ale pies one of the best we'd ever had, good pastry and gravy, followed by delicious cheesecakes. Keltek Phoenix on tap a bonus as well.
Excellent local pub and great beer. Not only a good view but if you're lucky you can see a digger drive on rails. What more could you want?
