Charges apply to blue badge holders too, so make sure you pay as I have seen them enforce this and charge motorists with blue badges. The car park is in a good location, but it is a bit of a walk up the hill if you want go to the market square or anywhere else up from the river. There are lifts in the adjacent multistorey car park which you can access opposite the passport office entrance. The size and shape mean the Sands is often busy and is easily blocked up by just one or two cars taking their time to maneuver. Contactless Credit card payment is available and seems to work well, so you don't need change.
Very busy car park not very conveniently placed for shops loads of steps up to the gala and the alternative lift up is often broken due to people overloading it is very useful for going to leisure centre and passport office And do pay the parking charges their are always loads of traffic wardens around ready to tickets vehicles just overstaying even by a few minutes
Good spot for parking with about 10min walk to City Centre. Loads of steps to ascend, however there is a bus runs every 20mins whuch takes you into the centre
Right next door to passport office and the car park was half empty at 8.15 when I arrived. It's only a 5 minute walk to the city centre and it's only £1.40 for 2 hours. There are 5 disabled parking places and disabled badge holders are charged the normal rate.
Plenty of space and reasonable prices for the central location it provides. You do need to pay all night if you are parking late though.
Good parking close to the city centre. £1.40 between 6pm and 8am, so good for a night out on the town
great and easy to park.. can get full at times during day.. good price
Good location, unfortunately the carpark will close soon so that they can build the new civic center.
Next level parking experience, the wardens are happy to let you wait in a bay for a short while without a ticket and they always have a great sense of humour. NOT.
Great parking for the swimming baths and it's just 5 minz from the shops.
