We recently came for a meal here the food was delicious and well presented. The portion sizes are not skimpy and well presented. We would definitely recommend it. We also like the fact it looks like a proper country pub perfectly in keeping with a village. If you want a lovely meal in beautiful surroundings then give The Royal Oak in Staveley a try you will certainly not be disappointed. Thanks everyone.
Idyllic English pub with First class service and Food and the Ale is Bang on. If you are looking for a cosy traditional pub in a Beautiful Village as well as AMAZING Service and food then the Royal Oak is for you. The most dog friendly place I have EVER been to as well. We felt like locals after just 2 visits, and will definitely back when we come back to Yorkshire again. Thank You so much Guys for one of the best meals I have ever had. PS: The sticky toffee pudding is off the scale Gorgeous.
Lovely little local pub with decent portions of tasty food. Very nice staff. The meat was tender and richly flavoured.

Staying in the cottage next door for a couple of nights so popped in for a Sunday dinner. Nice decor. A good big! Sunday roast. Think food served till 7 on a Sunday.
Can’t think of a reason not to give 5 stars, if I gave any less it would be nit picking. Lovely atmosphere, great beer, log fire blazing away, quick & friendly service, excellent food & lots of it. There.

Lovely pub, staff lovely. Landlady rude and abrupt with customers. Expensive food for what you get. Won’t go again.
From the first time I walked in I have been made to feel welcome. Top food as well. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
