Excellent hotel staff. Interesting "Shepherd's Hut". Was fine for a one-night stay, not recommended for longer stay. Good food and drinks.

Stayed at the oak for two nights, rooms were basic Shower was not very hot. After 12miles of walking and cycling all you need is a hot shower to soothe your aching limbs. The TV kept losing signal. Breakfast was disappointing.

Service is very friendly and attentive. Food is only so-so, unfortunately. Good atmosphere with a couple of different beers on draught.

Delicious modern pub food in a warm, relaxed setting. Nicely refurbished traditional pub in a beautiful setting. Snug with sofas, cosy dining area and a large outdoor area. Great friendly service from the owners. 3 minute walk from the Hare & Hound campsite. Dinner reservations probably wise on summer weekends.
