Dating back to 1816, The Royal Hotel is situated close to Liverpool in the suburbs of Waterloo. The Royal Hotel is a 25 bedroom hotel. Comfortable and well equipped, an ideal base for business and pleasure.

Story

Overlooking the Marine Gardens and the Mersey estuary, with views of the Wirral & North Wales in the distance. All bedrooms at the Royal have en suite facilities and are furnished for your comfort. Each room has a colour television with Digital Free View, direct dial telephone, modem point, trouser press, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities on a welcome tray & Mini Safe.
Free WIFI is now available in most areas of the hotel and rooms.
Some Rooms now offer wired broadband as well, please request this when booking.
Family rooms offer a choice of sleeping for up to 5 persons.
Room service is available to all bedrooms with a Full English Breakfast available in bed!

Good clean facilities. The hot breakfasts are delicious. Only complaint that I have is that the radiator and room thermostat were both set at 0 when I checked in. The room was so cold and took ages to heat up. I went to sleep cold, it wasn't a nice experience. If I stayed again in the future, it'd be nice for the room to be set at warmer temperature. I would stay again though.
Just enjoyed a brilliant couple of days around celebrating our golden wedding anniversary with a buffet lunch for 30 in the function room. Our room was beautiful and everything felt brand new - couldn’t have been more comfortable - and same for all our guests. The whole style and atmosphere of the hotel was easy, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and generous to a fault, and the location ideal - obviously warmth and sunshine helped too.nEntirely satisfactory!
Stayed here while visiting family in the Waterloo area and it was great for a short stay. This hotel is located close to the beach and many nice restaurants.nThere was many choices for breakfast and the quality was very good. We didn't dine here in the evening but the food looked good.nThe hotel is in an old historic building but it is nicely decorated and has lots of charm, although it doesn't have an elevator which could be an issue for some people.nAll the staff were very helpful and the service was fantastic!!
Lovely hotel with very nice staff. We stayed 2 nights and nothing was too much trouble. It's a short walk to the beach where you can see the Gormley installation which is surreal.nnWe didn't have dinner but the breakfast was exceptional. The best eggs Benedict I've ever had .
I don’t often post reviews as I think many are fakenBut. Trust me on this onenI stay at the royal through work usually 6 or 7 times a year incidentally I have an open company credit card and can stay wherever I please but I always choose the royalnIt’s 5 minutes from a walk on the beach, the south road with restaurants giving food from every continent and the railway line into the city centrennBreakfast is included in most rooms and never disappointsnThe staff are always attentive and understanding when things changenMy wife will not like this but I sleep better in bed in the royal than I do at homenIt’s the mattress honey I promisenCan’t give you my name but the staff know I work for a refrigeration company
