We had a great family meal. The waitress was lovely. The menu was big but not too big. All of the food tasted really nice and the price was great too. I would definitely recommend going here for a nice relaxed meal with lots of choice. And friendly on the wallet. We had 7 mains and 6 deserts all with drinks for £135.
Had one of many Christmas meals here......food was good but not overly memorable. Reasonable price. Staff were very good . Friendly and supportive.
We love the Rovers Tye. My fiancee and I have eaten here on a number of occasions, and can honestly say never had a bad meal. The chef does well coping even during the busy times. The staff look after you extremely well, they are always smiling, always ask is everything ok with your meal. Nothing is any bother, for them if you go away disappointed, I would be surprised. We always leave a little tip, for their hospitality. We Recommend a visit . Thank you Rovers Tye. See you soon x
Gave 2 stars as the place is cosy ,clean and nice, staff are friendly unfortunately the food was not to the standard, the pie was too hard, not much of a choice for vegetarians, no variety either, I had food poisoning after eating the Mushroom and ale pie vegan version, chips were too soft to my taste and the peas were awful then again I probably do not like peas. Will not be going back to the place. Many thanks.
Great place for a meal, very good service & staff are always very friendly
We had holiday in Essex at the end of September,a person recommended us to try. We had a super meal well priced. The staff were amazing nothing was to much trouble. The chefs did a great job. Friendly. Will definitely go again.
Had a lovely family meal here. We found them very accommodating to our needs with regards to allergies. The service was quick especially seeing as it was school holidays and the food was tasty and arrived hot. Would like to thank Kerry I think was her name for looking after us.
Love this place! The location is great, and it has a nice beer garden. The staff are also lovely, particularly Rachel. She always goes above and beyond, and makes an effort to remember you and your order, and is generally always lovely! Couldn’t recommended it highly enough
We were passing through Colchester and stopped at the Rovers for a bite to eat. Food was very good and excellent value. We stayed to have a few drinks and one member of the team provided an excellent service, Rachel. She was polite, friendly and very helpful. She is a credit to the Rovers team. A really pleasant experience and will definitely revisit next time we are in Colchester.
Absolutely brilliant, I went with 5 friends, the food was tasty, fair prices considering the size of the portions! Customer service was on point, the lovely lady we had serving is all night couldn’t have been any better, I will definitely return! Well done keep up the great work!
