The new management have completely turned this place around!! From a grotty pub to a lovely and welcoming family friendly establishment. The food is also now amazing. Well done for giving a great location some well deserved TLC!

New owners and a big change of style. The TVs and the scruffy furniture have gone to be replaced with a bright clean easy Listening style place. Great traditional beer and a good selection of lagers, ciders, wines and bottled alcohol. New menu that looks good but I am yet to try. Not the cheapest place but it has a good and safe feeling. Lots of woman and family groups using it as their local. I would defiantly give it a try.

Friendly bar staff, reasonably priced plenty of outside seating, Sky Sports Football, nice mix of people. Note: Change of owners at end of 2017.... No longer showing Sky Sports Football, outside seating has gone down considerably, more of a 40yr old+ bar if you have any youth in you all the old buggers just stare at you whilst having a drink. Perfect place for the over 40s.

The new ownership at the castle has made a massive turn around to this establishment. From the fresh crisp pints to the freshly prepared food and great customer service. You can tell a lot of money and time has been spend on the referb and it shows. Been visiting this place since 2004 and it's never been better.
