Terrible service. Sub standard food. Such a shame as used to enjoy it there. The food was cheap and terrible. Rude waitress. We asked for seasoned fries and were given normal ones, when the waitress came over to do the usual “is everything ok?” I said i think we asked for seasoned fries, she replied rather rudely and abrupt “they are seasoned” as I said ok she walked off! As you can see from the picture they clearly were not seasoned! The chicken was plain and tasted cheap. Staff seemed uninterested and were having private conversations at full voice, felt like a wasted night and a waste of money. Used to come here often over the years and haven’t been back in years and it’s really gone down hill. Would avoid at all costs
This was our 4th visit, as always an exceptional standard of customer service, friendly, bubbly, visible, approachable staff and GM. Great food, decent product range. Catered for all our needs, what more could I ask for. We visited 3 times and sadly they had no biscoff cheesecake but this time they did, it was sensational. Food was good too, as always compliments to the chef. Thank you.
Ordered via app, drinks took almost an hour, starters were finished before we go them. Food was not as nice as previous visits EDITED REVIEW.... We were invited back for a meal and I have to say our experience was 100% better. Lovely staff, food was fantastic. Will definitely visit again
Update:- 24/11/2021. Here again having been to an appointment at EDG. Just a coffee, but arrived at opening time. It was a pleasure to hear the cheerful chatter of friendly comaraderie as the staff started their day. They obviously work well as a team and enjoy their work. The place reflects that. I only had a coffee but it was served with a smile . As Arnie says "I'll be back"... Previous visit:- Tasty, piping hot food, served with a smile. Very reasonably priced. A 'go to' place, especially if waiting to pick someone up from Eastbourne hospital. Very attentive to Covid rules and great care taken to make you feel safe. Would definitely visit again. I had a veggie burger and chunky chips. Delicious . Thank you to all the pleasant staff and Management.
Overall - Good: Some Issues with the Food, namely Steak was rubbery and gristly. This is not usual Quality for this Chain. Also we weren't served at the Bar for a while and when we were, I asked for no Ice in the Drinks as filling it up with Ice means One gets less actual Coke in there. The Barmaid said she'll just give us less anyway then, we thought she was joking but then she handed us 1/4 empty Glasses. All the other Staffmembers were friendly though, and the Food wasn't so bad, quite reasonably priced as Flaming Grill Restaurants usually are! Anyone thinking of having the Mexican Burger 'The Big One' Challenge Meal, be warned, it's spicier than You imagine
Website says they do food till 9. I got there at 8. No food. There wasn't even an apology or real excuse. Pity I liked the look of the menu and not too expensive either. I couldn't tell if it was a food or footy pub. It's most definitely a food pub. I suggest you book but don't expect pleasantries.
Fantastic family meal Good value and tasty food Friendly staff always on hand Clean tables and seating but the menus were a bit sticky Will most definitely be back to take on something else from the menu On our visit the tablet to register your car registration was broken so the manager emailed the company so that fines wouldn't be sent out but if the worst happens we are to call back to have the fine cancelled
Decent pub is this now the only pub in Hampden Park?? and busy enough to suggest the food, drink and service is of a high standard. Not been in for years but a nice welcoming atmosphere and enough space outside and in to have a good gathering with family or friends
The fantastic bar stuff make this place special. Feels cosy even though it's open. Plenty of tables out front. Shame that the car park isn't at the front and the garden at the back so that it's a bit more sheltered from the road. Great local pub, especially for a chain. Will vist again and again. Came for veggie breakfast once and it was awful with no effort made on the cooking of veggies. Have had food in the evening that was nice though.
Just left here after the most amazing meal! Absolutely beautiful food as always. Always my favorite restaurant to go to! Also the staff are all lovely!!
