Distinct. Proper. Atmospheric. Huge drinks variety. Great location. Even though the beer garden smells of cat piss and the toilets are run down it really cannot detract from this being one of the the best pub in town. Get on down.

Not just an award winning place, this canal-side pub in Berkhamsted is a no thrills proper pub where you get a good choice of ciders and real ales. They have beer and cider festivals which get very busy. Dogs are welcome and it's used by walkers, cyclists and narrowboaters. The staff are friendly and the setting perfect. Do go. You shan't regret it

a special place by the canal. well off the beaten track but worth finding. happily, enjoying the Crystal Palace and the Boat on the way!

Best beer and cider selection in the area. Attracts diverse range of customers. Beautiful to sit outside by the canal and catch up with friends.
