Be warned - I used to shop here a lot but a year ago they lost me for good. It shows because a yr later I still feel strongly to write a review. I have even emailed complaints but they have not even got back to me. We took our bikes in for a quote for a service and on first impression they couldn’t of been more helpful making lots of suggestions and nothings to much bother and things were added to a list for now or later to get looked at but we decided not to go ahead as there wasn’t much time to try out our bikes after fix before we left for our bike tour and thought we’d get it done on our return. When we collected bikes we were hit with a £70 charge. My husband didn’t even have a card on him to pay and they wouldn’t release our bikes until paid for. They said it was a charge for quoting!! To be honest in my 43 years I have never been charged for someone to look at my bike nor would I dream of doing so to one of my clients. I understand there is work in getting a quote together but that’s just part and parcel of winning the work. When we queried it we were told “price is on website”. Alan said “I’m sorry, we did not look at your website, why would I, I live just around the corner and no one said when we walked in or when we said we’d collect” But it all makes sense now and I understand why nothing was too much bother and the sales guy kept making suggestions to add to what could be done. To be honest I wouldn’t of had a problem if someone had just said when we took the bikes in “If you decide not to get the service done there’s a £35 charge per bike to quote” it’s my choice then to leave them or not - we paid because we felt held to ransom. What’s more the guy that originally served us was there, he didn’t pipe up just repeated “it says on the website!”. The experience has left us with a bad taste and I warn people I chat to about this and will never set foot inside again.

My seat clamp gave up on a ride from Gloucester to Brighton when I was going past these guys. They where brilliant and managed to get one from a donna bike out the back. I was back on the road within 15 mins. Really nice shop, and a great vibe in there. If I lived locally these guys would get my bike parts business.

The go to bike shop. This shop is great not only because the staff are so kind and helpful but they also have a great selection of products, a wealth of knowledge and give back to the mtb community by hosting shop rides and sponsoring local events. Their coffee ain't bad either ;)
