Had 2 evening meals in this place and the food was outstanding on both occasions especially the bread and butter pudding best I have tasted will definitely come back at some point, nice litte rural pub open log fire friendly staff and manager very welcoming
Absolutely brilliant sirloin steak here. A bit of an indulgence having cauliflower cheese with it mind you. Highly recommend a visit here for dinner.Rooms: 5/5

The beer was good but some of the party were not impressed with their roast lunch. The fish and chips were excellent. Eating outside was spoilt by the landlord having a smelly bonfire by the beer garden.
Disappointing atmosphere. We stopped for a quick lunch and chose The Redwoods because of the positive reviews. It was empty of customers and atmosphere. The landlady was hospitable to start with but made it very clear that we needed to be out soon as “we close at 2”. As it was cold, we asked for an extra log on the dying fire but were told “no. I don’t want it burning this afternoon”. Food ok and lots of choice. Good pub grub.
Just had a great meal tonight , good generous portions, reasonably priced, friendly bar & staff good atmosphere with the fire lit. Definitely will be going back there with friends. Good country pub.
Lovely, welcoming atmosphere with good family food. Generous portions. Bring your appetite! Love the warming fireplace for chilly winter evenings.
