We ate fairly early after having trouble starting our boat on the canal. The owner of the Globe (Alex) & his nephew (Aaron) were so brilliantly helpful getting us out of a fix that we popped into the pub for an early dinner. Very varied menu - steak & ale pie was massive and really tasty, butchers sausages, Mash & onion gravy sooo flavoursome and loads of it, and the biggest piece of cod I've ever seen!!! Good choice of veg, every conceivable way of serving potatoes and gorgeous chips!!!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were all extremely friendly and willing to chat when not busy. Will definitely take other members of the family there again. Prices very reasonable for good quality food. I'd love to have tried the steaks but only recently went vegetarian - plenty of choice for us guys and a gluten free selection too. Thank you all so much for saving the day with amazing food!!!! Loads of parking, easy access up to the canal for summer walks and bike hire on site. Lovely outside covered seating area too. Look forward to my next visit when hopefully I won't be driving so I can try some of your myriad of unusual gins!!

The globe was wonderful for the family. Friendly staff and terrific food. I recommend cod and chips. Yummy!

Lovely restaurant. Good food great helpful friendly staff. Quick table service have eaten there many times never disappointed always come away feeling full and satisfied. Also Do a great Sunday carvery.

Good food , great service, and a good selection of beers. Large out door seating both covered and not covered. Big car park ascwell, always a popular place. Great as a pit stop when walking cycling the canal path.
