Popped in for a quick drink with friends as I live nearby. We were the only customers there at the time. Normally nice, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, good food etc but on this occasion I was upset to overhear members of the management discussing staff literally a couple of metres away. Totally unprofessional, heard everything.  Fortunately I don’t know the staff members they were discussing. We are customers and this should of been discussed in the privacy of an office or behind the scenes. It’s really put me off. I’m a business owner and there’s a time and place for this.

Such wonderful atmosphere and log fire.
Excellent food and wine. very welcoming and polite staff. Will definitely be going again and recommending this too out family and friends xxx

We were made to feel very welcome, our dog included and the food was really good as well.

Real log burning stoves- that were far too hot  and terrible choice of music made this pub unpleasant to eat at.  Food was reasonably good but nothing exciting.  Probably won't rush back.
