This is a firm favourite of ours when visiting Woking, which we usually do on a Sunday. The roasts are delicious and come with a good selection of veg. We always order the ice cream sundae for dessert. Can't fault.
Had a family & friends gathering with a buffet. All the food was excellent, freshly cooked, out the oven & brought to the tables hot. Lovely large sliced sausage roll. Very tasty sandwiches. The desserts were excellent especially the sliced scones with jam & cream. Lovely staff, very attentive. Thank you, definitely not your average buffet, exceeded expectations. Happy to highly recommend.
We had a lovely family meal here. The staff were really nice and patient - especially as we were running a bit late for our reservation. The food was fantastic and we got a nice happy birthday plate for my dad and my husband which was a nice touch.
Second time here and as good an experience as the first. My wife says I never praise pub or restaurant food but I astonished her by praising the Red Lion’s. Everything was prepared with real care. For me the acid test would be how good the liver was. It was perfect: tender, moist and full of flavour. My companions all loved their food, too. Go there!
Absolutely superb food and service! Visited on Father's Day without a booking and was able to get a table. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered fishcakes to start which was delicious and came with a spicy mayo. For mains my husband had the lamb roast and I chose the double cooked pork with crackling. We were very happy with both meals, they tasted great and looked great. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. We will definitely be coming here again as our local. Thank you to the staff who made us feel welcome
