Excellent quality food , good service, no need to park on main road, car park to rear, quiet country pub with good food .
Great couple of evenings drinking here , fabulous owners, I was made to feel very welcome and the locals were friendly and great fun , excellent range of beers and spirits. Highly recommend
The empty plates say it all. We have eaten here as a family on numerous occasions. The service is is always warm friendly. The food is good and cooked to order. Even though you may have driven to get there you are warmly welcomed by the locals. It is a a great little place for a family get together. Large groups I would recommend they book. The meals are good value for money. They are currently trying different spirits including Durham Gin, which is distilled locally and Seedlip which is a non-alcoholic gin.
Lovely pub, went for quiz night. great hosts, friendly and welcoming.
Truly fantastic food and experience. Best service we have ever received. Such a good and relaxed time that we stayed to play pool and darts with the kids - and normally we're making a hasty retreat after dessert. We'll be back often.
Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch at The Red Lion, we were welcomed by the friendly staff. The food was all fresh, home cooked and piping hot all in a relaxing atmosphere we will definitely call again.
New owners, very friendly. Had our lunch there, steak 'n' ale pie, It was beautiful, Timothy Taylers, spot on. Well worth a re-visit. Will post again after my next meal there.
