We arrived on monday afternoon and i was shocked to find the place packed, always a good sign. We were seated quickly and served in a timely manner. Food was fantastic and they were all to accommodating with our request for extra black pudding. Two tray bakes to take home, which were really outstanding! Beautiful little tea room can definitely recommend.
Lovely setting with views across the Dene. Very nicely decorated inside with design that gives your party privacy if you want it. Breakfast is lovely - nice local produce. Cakes are to die for. Service is very good too. Nothing to faultFood: 5/5
Service was top notch even though there was a short wait for a table staff were very attentive. Meal came promptly after ordering and was delicious, unfortunately I was not able to finish it all … staff offered to box it up to take home for later Would definitely come here again and recommend
Great little place, very different to normal tea rooms which adds to the charm. Lovely food service , staff and owners. Parking in adjacent streets which I don't like , so only four stars for location otherwise one of my favourites.Food: 5/5
Festive afternoon tea today for 2.. Plenty of food, lovely scones and savories .brilliant turkey and cranberry small loaf sandwich. Cakes were a bit dissapointing and didn't seem home made. The festive touch was a mini mince pie and mini stollen. Unfortunately there was hardly any Christmas decorations and the place was quite cold however we did learn a lot from the discussion about 'strengthening your pelvic floor' from the table of mothers with young babies next to us! Staff were charming and couldn't do enough for you.
Fabulous food and service. The staff are so friendly and even though they were very busy they were so organised and efficient. Our food arrived after a short wait and was delicious.Service: 5/5
A delicious lunch, friendly, happy and helpful team. Thank you for making us welcome. We took home desserts which were amazing, we will be back.
Delicious homemade food, polite, friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend a visit.Food: 5/5
Just had lunch here, 5* on all counts. food, surroundings and staff. this establishment deserves support and we will certainly return soon.
Visited the QB for my birthday brunch today. I had the breakfast which was very nicely cooked, with very good size portions. The presentation of the food was good, while heart shaped plates and glasses are quirky they may not to be everyone’s taste. The vine tomatoes looked and tasted stunning. The sausage looked tremendous, it was very meaty but could have packed a bit more flavour for me. Would I have it again, absolutely, but I’d be also tempted with the veggie option. My wife had All About The Avo which again was generously proportioned and presented well. This was the third time she’s ordered this dish, unfortunately the poached eggs weren’t soft which was a shame as it really spoiled the dish. Update We returned about for a birthday brunch with some friends. The food was really nice again 4 of us went this time, everyone was delighted with the food. The prices have gone up as they have everywhere. A little disappointed with the vine tomatoes compared to last time. As a group we had 3 breakfasts, a breakfast stack and an All About The Avo. Everyone was delighted. We arrived about 10:30 on a Saturday morning, you can’t reserve seats, by 11 all the seats had gone and people were waiting around for people to leave. So if you don’t want to ha g around get there early.
