We came here very hungry after a 6hr road trip and were met with fantastic service from the owner, Raj, and very tasty food! The lamb shank, madras curry, Juicy Lucy Berger and vegetable lasagna was all freshly made. There’s also a pool table and board games so we had a lot of fun with my husband and kids. A lot of other places had their kitchens closed but we’re so glad it landed us at The Red Lion! Thank you so much having us,Iwona,Marek,Victoria and Alexandra from London x
2026nBest Lamb shank i ever had. The portions are great and the owner is so very friendly.nPrices are good and service more than good. When you are in Machynlett you should definitely go there.nJust a good old fashioned inn with good atmosfeer. This is why we did come to Wales. The owner gives everybody a game to kill the waiting time. So nice.nThanks for the good time and the great food.
Was travelling through the area and needed some grub. The food was ok, the prices were reasonable but the service was the best. Super friendly and friendly crowds.
We popped into Y Llew Coch and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The food was lovely, ooked beautifully and full of flavour. What really made the evening, though, was the owner. They were incredibly friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming, which gave the whole place a brilliant atmosphere. It's rare to find spots that get both the food and the hospitality so spot on. We'll definitely be back if we are in the area.
A quick random stop on our journeys through the area. Turned out to be absolutely fantastic meal. The service was great and a great little town. The Red Lion just had that pub charm.Definitely put it on my list to go back.
