Dog friendly pub only stopped for a quick drink, bar staff friendly and so was the locals. Football was being shown on the tv. They served a lovely pint. Will pop in again when passing

This is the BEST pub i go in.I live in Barton under Needwood but will drink in this fantastic pub whenever i get the chance. In my opinion there is no pub like it. 'Curly' the gaffer keeps fantastic ales. The Abbott is the best for miles. A pub is as good as the people that use it and on top of that is the quality of beers which makes it my favourite boozer. Well done 'Curly' and staff. BRILLIANT.
Despite living within a couple miles, this was my first visit. Very impressed, for a small pub in this area, 4 cask beers and we'll kept. Really enjoyed the visit, proper locals pub but very welcoming to all. I'm pretty sure I'll be back!

Cracking little pub, great staff.
On holiday in the area and went for a walk to find a local pub. Pleasant atmosphere, only local men in for early doors pint. Pleasant bar maid but can only give 3 stars because it was the worse pint of Taylors Landlord I have ever had.
