A hidden gem these days to find an old-school hifi repair and sales shop that deals in vintage gear. Took my 1971-era Sony reel to reel in for some TLC as it wasn't taking up tapes. Chris gave it a full service - cleaning, re-lubing and new belts to restore it bsck to health. A speedy turnaround within a day and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this very helpful store!

I made a very pleasant and rewarding trip to THE RADIO SHOP yesterday, and was made most welcome by Chris, the proprieter.   I found him to be very friendly, helpful - and of course - knowledgeable.   I bought just what I was looking for at a very fair price, and am saving my pennies for my next trip.   With a great pub just down the road Jean-Jaques easy rail links and a treasure trove of interesting stuff and stories, who could ask for more?   Certainly not me!   Thank you, Chris.

I had an Arcam CD player needing repair, because of its age I was worried it would be unrepairable, but Chris was able to fix it. He gave great service and really knew his stuff and charged a very fair price. I thoroughly recommend him. Thanks Chris

You get to talk to the guy who's going to fix your appliance, not a frontman who'll send it away for you. Top repair man. Recommended.

Chris is extremely well versed in retro car audio systems after having worked with them for 4 decades. He got my cherished 1983 Pioneer Component system working an absolute treat and I can't wait to have it installed in my '83 Golf GTI. I would have no hesitation in recommending. His prices are also very fair and the the job was done in no time.

Very impressed. So far repaired my Roberts RCS80 radio and Accuphase E 206 vintage amp. Nice to have a good local repair shop. Will definitely use again.

Chris is a top bloke, easy going and knowledgeable about his trade. I provided some parts and my Lenco GL75 vintage turntable and he did a service within a couple of days - faster than he promised - and he got the old girl sounding better than it ever has, clear as a bell and now barely ever skips even on less than mint records with surface scratches. Highly recommended.

Superb customer service, was able to track down a suitable Radio/Cassette player for my 1980s car, and service it for me before sale. I highly recommend him for all your Radio and Hi-Fi related needs
