Visited with a party of 18 and all were served close together with lovely food. Nice pub atmosphere only downside was having to sit on 4 different tables right next to the singer. He was very good but difficult to have a conversation over the music.

This pub is famous for its pies and they are really nice. However, £10 does seem a lot for a pie and nothing else. You have to buy your chips and veg separately. Nice service but they had music playing too loud in the dining room when we went.

So pleased that I can call this my local. It’s a beautiful pub with incredible food, something for everyone on the menu & excellent service. The family running it are so lovely & the custom in there is just perfect. Cosy log fire, snug family atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for more!

Love this pub, great food. Very friendly. Brill live music. I travel through 3 counties to be there when music on. Highly recommend

First time here for about 3 years. They'd just had a refurb of paint and new bar. Packed in a Friday with a 50's band later in evening. Food was excellent my wife had the beef stew good tasty chunks of beef. My full loaded burger was homemade and tasty. My only downer was the dessert was expensive at £6.45 same for all desserts including 3 scoops of ice cream but this is a minor criticism. Very good selection of ales and lagers. Only one hoppy beer and 3 proper ales so a massive thumbs up from me
