Staying in the neighborhood for a few days. I’ve stopped in thrice and plan to do so again today. Exceptionally good service, great cider and beers. Love their pork pie with piccalilli, so damn good! Staff has always been welcoming and good natured. Pub decor makes you feel comfortable and invited. Of all the pubs I’ve tried in London I will miss this one the most.
Lovely pub! Great selection of beers and not too pricey either - I had a lager and an IPA at £5.20/40. Nice historic interior. It was very busy when we went near Christmas and our small group had to move a few times to accommodate some big pre-booked tables, but the staff were helpful in finding us somewhere else to sit.
The Queen's Head, not far from Kings Cross, just down Gray's Inn road. An independent pub with an independent feel. There was not one beer I recognized, brilliant! 3 cask ales and a fine selection of keg beers and ciders a Perry too Great cellar! Nuf sed. Delightful service and a wonderful cheerful atmosphere, great place to drink.
What a brilliant "proper" pub with friendly staff serving a great selection of cask and keg beers - at sensible prices!Food: 5/5
OMG What a great find. Very friendly staff, really nice atmosphere and best of all being a beer lover I have to rate this place 5+. Suggest check out Redemption Brewing Co's Big Chief IPA - at 5.5% just right for a couple of pints warning is a guest beer as at this review.Service: 5/5
What a find! Fantastic old school pub. Great range of well kept ales and beers. Reasonably priced for its location. Great atmosphere. Didn't eat but meat/charcuterie boards etc looked excellent . Well worth a visit. Recommended!Service: 5/5
Great choice of beers. Unfortunately our visit was ruined by being told aggressively that the bar would be closing at 11 on four separate occasions from the time we ordered around 10:40 and 11:05 when the barman turned over all the stools on the adjacent table and stood over us until we'd finished our drinks. Won't be back in a hurry
An excellent wee pub with an interesting and ever changing selection of beers. It also has a genuinely superb range of 100+ whiskeys with a helpful menu to aid your choice between peaty, fruity, caramelly, spicy or even meaty... It also has a beautiful teeny, tiny beer garden. Bonus points for the friendly staff and locals.
Wonderful pub with great seating options, inside and out. very chill, very welcoming. The staff were super nice. They had a nice menu of bar food and snacks as well.
Strong variety of beers verging from the surprisingly pricey to delightfully cheap. Nice friendly staff and affordable bar snacks. There's a whisky menu too but nobody's really paying attention to that are theyFood: 4/5
