We have done a couple of acoustic sets and their open mic nights on a Thursday. Always great fun. Staff and punters all really nice. Beer is good too. 100% would recommend.
Wonderful little pub, bit of a hidden gem. Doesn't have all of the bar/eatery bells and whistles, but is super friendly. Go and hide in the whilst trying to escape the shopping trip to the High Street..
The Olde Trout is an outstanding pub. Fantastic real ale, the 'Olde Trout Special Ale' is brewed under arrangement with Wantsum Brewery and is always excellent and tremendous value for money. The place is a real credit to Peter and Claire the owners and I couldn't recommend the place highly enough. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
A gem of a pub in Southend. Friendly staff that make you feel welcome. Quiz nights, events. Good selection of drinks. Really nice fresh home cooked food.
I enjoyed the olde trout on my previous visit, pre covid, but it's even better now. Pete & his staff are very friendly & welcoming, & there's a good selection of beer, wine & food
Nice place but not enough choice of real ales on a thursday night, other than that all good.
Great place to meet friends for a drink and a chat, the staff are friendly and always remember your name and your drink. Clare the owner and her husband are great hosts, it is always a pleasure to visit The Old Trout. Drinks selection is extensive and well priced unfortunately I have not eaten here as yet to rate the food but I am told by friends that the food is very good and reasonably priced. Look forward to my next visit. Keep up the good work Clare.
Excellent venue for a few drinks with friends. Selection of regular and guest real ales on tap.
