Superior quality Sunday roasts, cooked to perfection. Generous portions. Very well presented. Friendly and discreetly attentive staff working very hard to ensure a high degree of service. Good range of wines and other drinks available. Premium finish decor. Great, welcoming atmosphere for families and groups alike. Extensive indoor and outdoor seating available, but booking advised for Sunday lunch. Justifiably popular. Vegetarian options: Limited lunchtime vegetarian options available. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly restaurant. Parking: On-site parking available, Dietary restrictions: Attentive to dietary restrictions from the outset.
7 of us ate here on a Friday night, all different ages and tastes in food. The food was delicious and we were looked after very well. Stephanie, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. Her smile did not fade once and she was very patient, despite a few of us varying the items on the menu. She worked very hard, was supremely attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend.
First time visiting for breakfast with the family a few weeks ago, this place is wonderful! Seems to have been recently decorated and it was immaculate. I only had a bacon sandwich but its by far the nicest bacon sandwich I've ever had! Will be returning for sure!
A bit sparse. Nice big room, lots of space but nowhere to put anything. No information in the the room. Very nice food but portions are small. This is tricky if you are hungry, for example, after a long walk. Nice looking dinning room, very lovely staff but the tables are very close to each other and I felt a bit cramped up and was glad the table next to us was vacant.
Best Sunday lunch we’ve had for a long time. Food was impeccable, service and atmosphere great, prices were very competitive too. Can’t wait to come back
Xmas lunch was my first visit. A very well furnished and decorated restaurant, leaving me wondering why I hadn't been there before! Service was excellent; charming and efficient. My scallop starter was outstanding, but my main course was a disaster! A tasty, well cooked piece of hake was served floating in a tasteless, unappetizing and very watery soup. The fish was ruined! I will try again - once! - in the hope that this was a "one off".
Top quality food at sensible prices. The team were very welcoming and accommodating, on two consecutive days we asked for a table at short notice and both times a table was found, despite the place being really busy.Food: 5/5
We were visiting 2 NT houses close by and were recommended this place for lunch by the staff at one of them. Quite upmarket for our needs but food delicious and toilets clean, although we did have to ask for our table to be wiped as had dried on drinks stains. This was done quickly and with a smile and apology. Card menus in good condition but paper menus were a bit grubby and torn and I would suggest changing them more often or printing them on thicker paper. I had the Mediterranean style chicken it had a fancy name but I can't remember it which was truly delicious and my friend had ham egg and chips which was also excellent. 1 little gripe I have with nearly every place I have been to eat recently is that they pre salt the fries/chips which is not giving the customer a choice, especially as we are not meant to be eating added salt these days. They were in this case only lightly salted but as there was salt and pepper on the table we could have added our own. Overall an excellent up market place to eat. The mains were about £17 each.
Sunday lunch - we were placed in a cold room. The starters were just ok. But the mains were cold and poor so with the cold room cold food meant for a quick exit. Although the staff were good hence two stars. We will not be returning!!!
We were offered the table in the “conservatory “ and it was simply awful. Lack of atmosphere, bright light, terrible acoustic. I couldn’t hear my friend who was sitting opposite me. It felt like a canteen. Food came cold. Plates were cold. We had to shout our orders.
