Can't fault this old rustic pub. Not been since pre covid until last week but very good food, reasonable price, good beer & lovely large outdoor canopy covered area too. Will be back soon
Great looking pub with an excellent beer garden. The cheesy chips have been great on the three times I've been. The beer has always been excellent, though not a great selection of ale.
Great staff and really nice beer garden next to the canal with a marquee and comfortable seating. Food and hot drinks were very disappointing though. We'd go back, but only for a round of drinks on a sunny day. If the kitchen upped their game then this would be a 5/5 rating.
Great roast, not cheap but worth it. The beef was brilliant and I was told the pork belly was up there with the best! Lovely view of the canal too.
Good quick service and good food. Lovely location on the canal with a small play area for kids. Liked the undercover outdoor area and the ability to turn up for outdoor seating without booking
Lovely setting, by the canal plenty of room in the gardens with seating. Food was very good and the beers. Didn't go inside. Will be going back soon.
If I can suggest you try something, it's the pies. Fantastic service, great atmosphere. Took my 4month old, our first trip with friends. No problems with changing facilities nor with breastfeeding. Recommend. Definitely worth the drive
Nice pub on the canal with a great selection of ales & food. The pies are a speciality & generously served. Many tables outside which are popular. Worth repeat visits.
