We recently had our wedding at the Priests House and it was absolutely fabulous. They were kind enough to let us move the date 3 times due to COVID and were always friendly and helpful during the planning. The venue is so beautiful and perfect for an intimate wedding in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. On the day Conor and his team were absolutely terrific and went above and beyond to make sure the day was everything we could have hoped for. We highly recommend the Priests House for a wedding venue! Thank you so much for the perfect day :
Lovely place for a wedding. My son married here in December. The weather was cold but the venue and staff were fantastic. Couldn't do anymore to make it such a special day. The meal after the wedding was lovely and presented well. Would recommend this place for a wedding but maybe another month that's a bit warmer.
We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our January wedding, all of our friends and family still mention how perfect the setting was, and how great the staff were throughout the whole day. We must thank Conor for all of his help in planning in the lead up to the day, and for hosting our wedding so professionally, everything went so smoothly and we didn't need to worry about a thing all day. The food deserves a special mention, the chef and team were able to cater for so many requirements and was so delicious. We'd recommend The Priests House to any couple looking for an intimate wedding in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside!
We couldn’t have picked a more perfect location for our November wedding. Firstly, the Priests House is an amazing venue - brilliant buildings and views whilst providing a small and intimate place for our special day. Everything about our experience with the team at The Priest’s House was phenomenal - from working with Conor on the details running up to the day, the flowers provided by Debbie, Kat and her team on the day including some amazing food and Steve’s help with the accommodation in the Barn. Nothing was too much for them - thank you so much!
As a wedding photographer we've covered weddings at many venues however, none match The Priest House for its lovely food, rich character, and period features all nestled in stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery. Conor and his team always go the extra mile to create a perfect service and nothing is too much trouble. We have no hesitation in recommending The Priest House for couples planning their wedding or family celebrations.
Absolutely stunning location for a wedding. Set within the moors. Great choice for my brothers gothic inspired wedding. Staff were very polite and accommodating. Food fabulous too. Couldn't of wished for a better day.
We got married on Saturday at this incredible venue. Thank you so much to all the team, Steve for constant email support before the day, Debbie for the most amazing flowers and Connor for coordinating our wedding on the day. Nothing was too much and the day went seamlessly. We had so many comments from guests on the venue as well as the incredible food we had. Thank you again it really was a day we won't forget.
We could not be any happier from our wedding at The Priest House! Firstly it is a dream location, our guests were over the moon with all the surroundings, the priests house with high cellings and amazing atmosphere, restaurant with rustic, cosy feel even more so with fore place on! The ruins. Not even mentioning amazing staff- Steve which was making sure everything was sorted prior to wedding, Debbie which took care of the flowers- even more so that they were wrapped and we gave them to guests after the wedding- grandmas couldnt be any happier , Conor which was there on our wedding day and made sure everything went smoothly! If you are considering having wedding there book it without thinking! We definitely will be back for our Vows renewal and anniversaries! Oh and also the bunk barn which we've booked for the night before and night after the wedding was a perfect place for everyone to stay over and continue celebrations!
Went here for a friends wedding recently. What a Fantastic wedding venue and location! The grounds are split between old ruins and areas that have been fitted out to host weddings. This is a great balance, and all upgrading for the wedding venue is subtle, reflective of the original property and to a very high standard. There is great potential for some great wedding pics. The staff throughout the wedding day couldn't be more helpful and friendly, so accommodating - a credit to the management. Just be aware that a coach may be required to ferry guests to/from the venue as it is a little remote not overly though.
I am not one to leave reviews on social media however this time I feel compelled to do so. My daughter and her fiancé booked the Priest house for their wedding ceremony and wedding function. They booked one of the twilight packages as Ellis wanted the wedding to be intimate and personal. The wedding took place at 5pm then everything just flowed from that point until midnight. After the ceremony there were canapés and drinks whilst pictures were being taken. We then had the speeches followed by the buffet and disco. OK, so now we know the order of things it's time to review the service we received from the location and staff. The location is absolutely stunning, we were blessed with fine sunny weather but I genuinely believe you will be hard pressed to find a location more suited to an intimate and personal wedding. The place was set up to a very high standard and just looked so inviting. You could not have done a single thing to make it any more the inviting. The owners have all the way through been attentive and responsive and this was carried over to the actual day. Every member of staff there was again, attentive and responsive but it didn't feel like they were 'staff'. It actually felt like they were all part of the ceremony and we were all there to celebrate whilst maintaining their professionalism. They were brilliant and are an absolute credit to themselves. The Priest House is very fortunate to have people with this kind of attitude and it reflects brilliantly on the venue and management. Everything we asked for we got. The canapés, drinks and food were excellent. The whole wedding just flowed perfectly and as Ellis said to me, it was the best day of their lives so far ! I would like to thank the Priest house for all the work they put in to making it such a great day. I would 100% recommend The Priest House to anyone looking for a romantic and intimate venue for a wedding. Thank you.
