The Plough is in a lovely location in Leigh. Out side the front and sides are plenty of tables and umbrellas to sit at. Inside there is a lovely bar area on one side and the restaurant in the other. We got the around 4:30pm or so and they were still serving lunch. My wife had the roast pork, while I had an all day breakfast which was exactly what I was longing for all day. Both were delicious and the perfect sizes. For dessert the wife had honeycomb ice cream with toffee sauce and I had triple chocolate and Bailey's sponge pudding with a jug of hot custard. Amazing! The service was fantastic from the second we walked through the door to when we left, everyone was friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable for a Sunday lunch. We'll definitely be back.
Never eaten here before but tried today. Very good value and delicious food. The lady made us and iced coffee even though it wasn't on the menu. They went out of their way for us and we'll definitely be back. Lovely hidden garden too. Highly recommended
Best unspoilt pub in the area. Motorbike friendly! Proper old building, lovely staff, gorgeous secluded beer garden and always delicious food and ales.
Fabulous little country pub. The menu has plenty to offer and never disappoints. Have visited a few times with my elderly father and both of us always find plenty of choice to suit. Staff are welcoming and service great. Plenty of room round the tables and always warm inside. Highly recommend you pay a visit when in the area.
Very delicious food, friendly service and cosy lounge with a fireplace. We really enjoyed our lunch there.
I have passed through Leigh a lot when travelling non-motorway, I wish I'd discovered this gem sooner. Lovely food, lovely welcome for me, my wife and 2 kids + dog. A really nice atmosphere, my 11 year old said "the best fish and chips I've ever had" and he's quite the connoisseur.
We visited after a long walk. The welcome by the barmaid couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Great home cooked food, lovely warm fire and a pub cat. Perfect
Wonderful evening at the Burn’s night event. Sarah went out of her way to squeeze us in after my daughter had already booked for two and we arrived at short notice. Much appreciated. It was a really fun evening with a quiz and wonderful food- a delicious tasting menu of Scottish favourites. A really welcoming local! Highly recommended!
Christmas lunch with old friends, 18 of us! Very obliging in separate tabs. The food was outstanding and service excellent. The pub looks incredibly inviting and stunningly christmassy! Highly recommended!
Fantastic food so tasty! The cheesecakes are THE BEST THING EVER! Especially cookie dough Such a cute friendly local pub. Mates have come from Essex and North London for a nice chill out session of JENGA, a pasty and to meet & talk cars. We love it here! Staff are fab and such a nice atmosphere.
