Our experience here is mainly being outside of the pub where they have outside eating, though inside too, and on occasion the outside marque where when open has a DJ playing good tunes. The food on offer is off typical pub food but off a high standard and reasonably priced. They also have an outside bar which they cook fresh pizza's to order. There is plenty of a decent spirit variety of Gin, Vodka and Rum which keeps me happy. Lastly there is a decent garden with plenty of tables for outdoor seating and decent carpark. Highly recommended.
We were a large party, which they catered for easily. Meal took a while but understandably we were 21 people. Food was delicious, I thoroughly enjoyed my steak. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Really enjoyable evening.
This was such a lovely little find for valentines day. The food was delicious and you could tell they really put their time and effort into this. Staff make you feel really welcome and it was cosy and cute inside. Free parking and in a good location.
It was good as it usually is. A good sized portion, chunky chips, flaky pastry and a good amount of filling. I have eaten it many times and will probably have it again at some point. Not too many veggie options so given four stars not five.
Love the steak and ale pie they usually serve, tonight’s however was very disappointing. I have a lake of water left on my plate. Chef must have been absent this evening. Every other time I’ve had the pie it has been a lovely thick sauce that has been reduced to a velvety consistency. Tonight it was like tap water.
Disorganised service we were served by 6 different waiting staff and the chef needs to learn how to cook fish. Won't be going back. The only positive was the waitress that had started that day Emily as she knew what good customer service should be.
The food was delicious and filling haddock cooked to perfection and the staff were very happy to help. All in all I had a lovely dinner and will definitely be visiting again!

Unfortunately 1 star is still too high. Booked a table for 1815. I called to say that we would be 5-10mins late but we will still be arriving. I was told this was OK and not a problem. We were a party of 6 and when we arrived we were 'checked in' as such, were told by one of the staff to find a table around the corner by a bar. Not shown to any table. We looked around and could not find a table big enough. So we walked back and found a table big enough for us and as we did another waitress was showing a family to this table. We said that we have reserved a table and have not been shown to where we are sat as there are no tables big enough. The waitress said 'Oh we didn't think you were going to BOTHER turning up'. My husband said we called to say were running late ahead of time. I asked her did you really just say what you said. She then lied and said she didn't say that even though we all heard her. Her attitude was vile. She then had to find two tables to put together as the table we had reserved was given to the family at the table we arrived at. The manager, I assume was quick to come over. Not very happy with her attitude either as she came in fairly aggressively as I assume the waitress had come to her with more lies. The manager said that she was sorry on her behalf on the basis that the waitress was not informed of our late arrival. However that does not excuse poor service. The only reason we stayed was that we had a very hungry 2 and 6 year old. But turns out it would have been quicker to leave as it was over an hour and a half before they had their meals. Would never come again and would never recommend to anybody to come to this establishment again.
Great food. Lovely people. Nice for lunch. Had 3 small plates for £10 ... variety and plenty to eat.
