Called in for a quick bite to eat as I was in the area. Really nice pub, friendly staff and would love to come back to try a meal if i was ever in the area again. The outdoor area looks great.
The uk’s finest ‘2 Tone’ tribute band love The Lion. Having performed there twice now, outside in the garden and inside the bar, we can honestly say that the staff are a wonderful bunch, very accommodating and enthusiastic and there food and drinks are all top drawer. A lovely pub that should be visited and supported as much as possible. Watch their events page for further events coming up. See you next April guys. Skabucks band.
Been there for the first time in a few years lovely atmosphere good selection of well kept beers and ales. Dog friendly. Happy friendly staff
Kareoke nights are fantastic everyone taking part . Would but great of bigger inside as gets very busy . They also do food the pizza was lovely
We only visited due to a minor mix up with a booking elsewhere for a family gathering and it was a very good alternative. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and tidy, which makes a huge difference. Plenty of drink options, and the food was well presented and hot when it arrived. I'd definitely recommend the onion rings "doughnuts"! in particular. Will certainly be calling in again.
Went to the Lion with my daughter, her partner and two young grandchildren for an off the cuff lunch. What a find!! The food was absolutely superb. I can honestly say the fish and chips was the best I have had in many a long year. Really crisp and crunchy batter surrounding a really fresh piece of fish with beautiful fluffy chips. My daughter and partner had burgers but these were not the run of the mill usual burgers. They looked home made and were succulent. As much care was taken with the children's meals. Puddings were great and homemade. If you want a great meal come here you will not be disappointed.
Second visit for food here and wasn't disappointed..Fish and chips were first class, finished with a chocolate brownie and ice cream .Everything home made and very tasty. Great selection of beers, friendly staff. Perfect!...

Amazing destination llocal with huge beer garden and BBQ.Ethusiastic staff , real ales and cocktails served along with classic food.
Just popped in for a drink,it's a nice place,used it of and on for many years,unfortunately my first 2 options of lager was not available,so had to have what was there,will try again but important you have beer in to sell
