DO NOT TRAVEL HERE. No longer there. All services have moved online. This listing needs to be amended. We travelled over an hour from Carlisle to find it's now a card shop & a post office
I can only relate my experience so previous reviews absolutely do not correspond. I had a faulty Cross pencil, prior to closing, the Eldon Square shop looked at carrying out a repair, they had to send the item to Cross. So after the intervention of COVID-19 and eighteen months later Cross threw the towel in and acknowledged that a repair was not achievable. The Pen Shop arranged for a replacement under the lifetime guarantee provided by Cross. They had retained all of my details regardless of the Eldon Square closure and had the decency to contact me advising of the Cross warranty. Cynacism or some other emotion would assume why bother, but The Pen Shop upheld their obligations. From me five stars does not do it, but a GALAXY of stars does.
Bit disappointed to say the least. Mont Blanc pen ran out and sadly my pen isn't aware of the current COVID-19 issues. Tried to use a voucher online to purchase replacement only to be told vouchers do not work online just in store - which won't open for the next 4-5 weeks. Appreciate and sympathise with high street retailers re COVID-19 issues but I would have thought "Europe's Largest Pen, Pencil and Writing Instrument Specialist" would be a little better set up for all aspects of online trading. Would also be helpful if the voucher stated it can only be used in store.
Ordered and paid for but received nothing. Completed online contact form and emails but no response. Now having to file a claim through PayPal. Appears to be a scam, do not use.
Had a look on their website which looked promising. Travelled for nearly an hour to get to the shop only to find out it wasn't there anymore. Apparently the shop in Morpeth is closed. It is stated on their website, I found out later but info on Google is misleading.
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Made an order online, received only 1 of 3 items paid for. Sent an email asking what was going on, no reply.
Bought rollerball refills online - good price, next day delivery. Perfect - no hassle.
