Honestly, they served me a bad coffee, as bad as s tarbuck$ coffee. The croissant wasn't crusty crumbly one if you like it that way, however, I enjoyed it personally though I wasn’t that hungry. The staff were young and moody. If you come with a laptop, you can only set at the bar which was very convenient, comfortable chairs and enough space.
Visited during the afternoon for a quick bite and coffee with friends. The strawberry tart was nice. Orange juices was nice. Warm coffees tasted nice and came in a nice glass mug. The iced coffee was served in a plastic cup and the orange juice in a kids cup. Why? No idea…
Located in a very posh part of Aldgate, this place has a modern environment with great outdoor views. The atmosphere is a bit dull. Selection of different pastries is great. The pastries are slightly pricey due to the location. Overall a decent place to try out once.Food: 3/5
The coffee is excellent, much better than at the hotel we were staying at. And when we wanted a fast breakfast we would stop in for their croissants or other pastries which are fairly large and they were nice enough to refill our water bottles a few times. The location is also really nice in this courtyard with horse statues appearing to race across the courtyard, and there is a nice story to match. Prices are also reasonable.
This is a lovely cafe just 3 minutes away from Aldgate East. They have a very nice selection of pastries and savoury snacks. Their coffee is very good. I tried their sweat potato and spinach frittata which was very delicious. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for working / studying.Food: 5/5
Went in around lunch to grab a croissant. £3 for THE most stale croissant I have ever tasted. I’m sure it was delicious when it was fresh, but when something is that stale, don’t sell it! Especially if you’re a bakeryFood: 2/5
This little cafe is absolutely beautiful in terms of the way it looks and the adorable display, showcasing all the baked goods. It's relaxing and the prices are very good- was pleasantly surprised when my bill amounted to less than a fiver. The chocolate cake was scrumptious. Chocolatey, fudgey and fresh! However, I couldn't say the same about the apple tart slice as it was soggy and the hot chocolate had huge chunks of powder that was not dissolved. Other than that, amazing service with a smile and I would definitely give it a go at least once!
What has happened to the croissant?? It used to be the best one in London. Fresh and crispy!! My friends and I would stop by several times a week to get one! The last couple weeks it has been so stale and dry?? I don’t understand why you would sell them in that state? So dissapointing. Have you started keeping the ones left over from the day before? Very sad as the quality doesn’t justify a visit anymore… Really hope you take this feedback into consideration!
A nice and decent coffee shop that makes me fresh every time I come. The atmosphere and the people are friendly too. I like to come alone and get a Americano and sometimes with a pastry.
Really good pastries and cakes. Banoffee pie was excellent and pain au chocolat was probably the best I’ve ever had. Cozy interior and friendly staff too.
