I am extremely dissapontent and upset i have stay at the vicarge a few times i have to say this will be the last time i stayed i will not be returning i had booked for two nites bit going home early very upset the room was discusting no plums shower was freezering shower was dirty and not safe to use sockets as was hanging off the wall so bad time over

Very poor service.  I tried to cancel my room well in advance and was still charged. I have now tried calling three times and it has not been possible to get in contact with anybody able to refund me for the room. Third time, I was hung up on. Not impressed.

Avoid at all costs. Horrible horrible horrible. I wish I had read some reviews beforehand. The whole place needs ripping down and never rebuilding. I've stayed in £2 a night places in India and Cambodia and they were so much better. I would have felt cleaner and more comfortable in my car.

While some of the reviews put it down to being downright awful, what do you really expect for £30/£40 a night? In a truth, it's not that bad for the night, wouldn't really spend more than that but for what we paid for it's fine. Clean sheets and clean enough bathroom. Apart from that, the room was quite dusty and the decor was just a bid odd and dated. 
When we arrived there was no one around, we rang the bell beside the office four times and no one came, we rang the number on the website, no answer went to answerphone. There was a number on the door which we tried and finally got answer. A gentlemen came and checked us in, his English was enough to get by but there was some issues. Credit where it is due, we were supposed to have a room down the stairs, but the gentlemen noticed my mother's mobility issues as we walked and offered a ground floor room which I guessed was probably more expensive but we were charged nothing more. The whole place is very dated and dusty but if like us, who just needed a bed for the night and a shower in the morning, it did just fine. Nothing disgusting or horrible.

Not good, no hot water, no breakfast included, pretty untidy everywhere, rather blunt on reception. Quiet though so could at least sleep. Would not visit again or recommend it.
