Gift from husband was to go on the pastry making course. Beautiful location and a very warm welcome with a delicious coffee and cookie. Everything you need for the day is provided. The teacher for the day, Emmanuel, was patient, engaging and fun. Mid morning coffee and a delicious brownie with fruit provided, followed by a delicious lunch. Learnt loads and had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend.
Artisan Bakehouse is a dream. I’ve been going there for many years for their Christmas wreath making workshops and last week my husband and I had our evening wedding reception there. We rented both cottages and the Shepherds Hut for 4 nights. The accommodation is beautiful; super clean, pretty, spacious and very comfortable. Every little detail has been thought of. The Shepherds Hut is so lovely, everything you want and more. My bridesmaids and I stayed the day before the wedding and made use of the lovely swimming pool. All of our guests commented on the magical venue, food and service. There is not one thing I would change about our wedding day and I just wish I could do it all again there. Les, Louise and the team are the loveliest of people and I would highly recommend everything about Artisan Bakehouse. Go and stay there, you will not regret it x
I went to on a day course on how to make bread. It was really good. Les is very passionate about the subject and explained about ingredients, the use of ingredients, and how to make them into dough and then bread. Having made bread a few times, it was great to learn how to make it properly. During the day we had coffee and cookies and a wonderful 2 course lunch made by his lovely wife Louise. At the end of a wonderful day, we got to take home the bread that we had made. Thanks Louise and Les for an amazing day.
An idyllic experience of home from home. Les and Louise have created a beautiful hideaway with stunning cottages, a gorgeous and very warm pool, chickens and bread making on site. They’re super-hosts eg made our kids welcome chocolates around their allergies. Thanks for a truly lovely short break.
The owners are really nice and their values clearly encompass all they do. The food we were served for lunch was delicious and accompanied by a marvellous choice of drinks. Mainly home by the appearance. The large choice of tea is served in individual small teapots and if having coffee, this is freshly made to order. The tutor presenting our course quite obviously really knows his stuff. All in all this place is good value for money.
Did the 1 day baking bread course A1 had a lovely day.Service: 5/5
