First time eating here and will definitely be back. Food was amazing. Ian who served us was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was very helpful. The shared starter was lovely and plenty for 2 people. We had the fish grill , cajun chicken burger , smothered chicken and the duo Korean chicken. All were served hot and fresh and delicious. The puddings were amazing too. I'd highly recommend to anyone thinking of eating here.
Nice pub, good food, good service. You might want to book a table ahead of time, though.Food: 5/5
Really nice pub, and friendly staff. Very efficient and nothing too much trouble, from putting extra wood on the fire from a different table as one guest was unable to walk up the stairs. The food was great, especially the beef and ale pie. Good prices too. Dietary restrictions: There is an allergen menu online Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessable ramp.
Recently stopped at a local premier Inn and luckly got a tablet here at the old mill with the family. We were warmly welcomed in and quickly seated from start to finish we were all content and truly well looked after. Service was amazing nothing to much trouble at all even kids got paper to colour etc really nice touch. Now for the food whilst it was hot and tasty also fully seasoned it didn’t match the price point it was sold at. Again we did enjoy it just lacked something at that price range however it was a great evening the 3 guys on the floor working socks off are a credit to the establishment. We will definitely be back please keep up the good work.
Fantastic experience here. There were 20 or so of us, staying at the nearby hotel and so happy we came here for food. An excellent menu, priced well and the service was superb! Particular mention to Ian who looked after us so well, on his own with one person in the Kitchen. Ian is a credit to this place and want to say thank you again for looking after us so well, this morning and yesterday morning too. Also on Friday night we were similarly well looked after but didn't ask our host's name that night. I can't recommend this place enough!
A tricky one to rate tbh! Positives Great location. The building is large and has character. Calm atmosphere leading to a relaxing, chilled meal. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Ample parking. During warmer months, this would be great to sit outside and relax, looking out over the river. Negatives I didn't feel that the Sunday roast was anything special. I was warm rather than hot, some of the meat a little fatty, and there could have been more veg. The price. For what I received including drinks, I feel this place is a little pricey. I've no issue paying a premium if the food is of an equal standard, which I didn't feel that it was. I wasn't a fan of the frozen peas either! Overall, I'd probably rate this as 3.5, as the food is a major reason for attending, so the positives are somewhat offset.
Absolutely amazing didn't book still found room food was amazing and very quick. We went out last week kids free and it was a shambles so was lovely to be somewhere where I mattered and was looked after will defo be returning all staff and so nice aswell so homely xFood: 5/5
Amazing place, lovely people, a beautiful cosy pub and delicious food. Very dog friendly too. Be careful in the car park, you need to sign your car in on arrival or might get a £100 fine! We didn't realise straight away but did sign in so fingers crossed we didn't get a fine! Expensive lunch otherwise!Food: 5/5
Really nicely situated close to the motorway but in a secluded tree lined area. Ample parking on site and a really nice building with cool interior. I had the steak and ale pie delicious and good portion too. I'm sure we will be back again soon :
