Such a cute little gem, planted between clissold park and the huge church of church street and bang in the middle of what seems to be a mini cimetière with toomb Stone straight from an ancient horror movie. This venue is a must, you have to go and visit it if you're in the area. We are lucky to have such places still standing in the heart of London.
I came here a couple of weeks ago for a concert by a local school since my sister was performing her piece. I have to say the location was beautiful, it had a very grounded vibe that made it more personal. The only issue I had was the layout of the church, it had a very limited view space due to the pillars and stage area being blocked by two walls. The chairs were also very uncomfortable. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my time there.
A fantastically atmospheric queer-friendly venue! A hidden gem in the middle of buzzing Stoke Newington. I would highly recommend attending an event there!
An intimate, atmospheric music venue. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and volunteers and offered mince pies and mulled wine it was near Christmas. The seating was comfortable enough. There were a few parking spaces nearby, although charging hours for the spaces were Mon-Sat until 6:30pm. As we went on a Sunday, there was no issue with permits.
Went to see a Stockhausen concert there – and fell in love with this location. Small, ancient church, well kept, with a bar and toilets and very good acoustics. Try and go one day.
A really nice church and place to visit. Im glad there was a qr code for a tour of the church outside the gates. So many interesting facts and little things to notice. I did enjoy the mention of historic figures and the explanation for Allen Poes 's inspiration from this church. A worthy visit.
Historical landmark, worth the visit! Gorgeous building full of historic details and near a great park
Always liked it. Calm atmosphere and quiet, elegant interior. Candles to light, and a little crèche in the corner. Sometimes a musician rehearsed organ or piano. Another wonderful Hackney thing
Great tunes but this one flautist kept playing over everyone
Went to a gig here. Great acoustics. Also felt l safe leaving late night.
