Always a very tasty and enjoyable pub meal. Reasonable prices and a big selection of things to choose from.nnI always enjoy the macaroni cheese and the loaded hunters fries.nThe chocolate cake sundae for dessert was also very good.nnMy only complaint is they stop food service around 7ish so you have to get in there a bit earlier. Desserts are still served a little later on.
LOUD!nWell a last minute decision for a little family meal while I was in the area brought us here.nBooked a table an hour before arrival and was reassured there was vegan options.nArrived to a very roudy, loud, crammed entrance. Given menu's and there were no vegan options on it! 20 mins of confused waitresses and shouting over the ridiculously loud music there was a vegan pie. Fighting our way to the bar to order food and another 15 min wait to order drinks wasn't expecting much when it arrived, to our surprise the food was actually tasty and we did enjoy but without conversation due to not hearing each other over the ridiculously loud music. It was like sitting eating a meal in the middle of a club.nStaff weren't particularly friendly or welcoming, do not recommend! And will never return!
Stopped for lunch here on my way back home, had a really good giant yorkie, std pub fair but well priced and really welcomed.
Almost missed this restaurant which is only 6 mins drive from home. Value for money deal: 2 lunch sets + 2 drinks = £20.79. Friendly family style service. I will definitely visit again.
Absolutely brilliant, food was excellent , the large roast dinner is a challenge with all the meats in the menu on it, the portions are massive, you're probably best going for the standard as it's quite a good portion, the staff are brilliant too , very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, book a table as it was packed, there is a more limited menu in a Sunday but it's excellent
