My husband and I went to the TRAVELLERS REST in Lowton and we were very impressed from the moment we went inside, the service was outstanding and we had a meal in the restaurant which was quite honestly delicious. The waitresses were not intrusive but were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go again and will tell all our friends is the place to go

A Curate's Egg The food was delicious, and the service attentive if, at times, a little over familiar. My biggest gripe, however, is that three of the party ordered the same meal, which was barely warm. As no-one had enquired about how we felt about our meal by the end of the evening, I mentioned this when asking for the bill. It is very disappointing that we received no feedback whatsoever. No enquiry as to why we felt this or even an acknowledgement of our concern. Poor! Also, I would say that if you are employing staff with long hair it's best to ask them to tie it back. We saw one server's hair in the food. This is not acceptable.

Excellent food- the best roast beef I've had in years. Great cask beer selection and a fair price.

Dined here with different friends on several occasions and everyone has been more than happy with the quality of food. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be back again soon.
