Good place to visit because of the film. It’s crowded at peak time tho. I love the wall with postcards from all over the world.
My pieces of movie nostalgia tho this is not the one for filming The bookshop in the movie is called “The Travel Book Company”, but the real store it’s based on was called “The Travel Bookshop” located on Portobello Road. Notting Hill bookshop is smaller than I imagined but quite a cosy and nice enough to find yourself a souvenir. I had a great me-time browsing the shelves and finding some inspirational quotes, getting myself a book and some postcards. This area is a very nice and picturesque neighborhood. You can wander around lovely Portobello road filled with colorful houses, antique shops and bars restaurants. Don't skip these if you are London lovers
Gorgeous book shop. But it's a tiny shop with lots of visitors so try to go when less busy to really appreciate a wonderful experience
Way too busy inside for the size of the book shop, you’d get stuck if you’re in. Cute tote bags and enamel merch, but other than that, I wouldn’t go in there again. It is just a small ordinary book shop, although might be special for those who came cos of the movie.nnOutside of the bookshop is good for pics, you can lean on the window seal and pose :
It was very special and nice experience visiting this place in that we are familiar with this from the movie 'Notting Hill' where Hugh and Julia acted very well.nIt was very crowded when we visited, I don't know this is because of that famous movie or not, but I think it is. Frankly speaking, this is just a book shop we can see everywhere.nBut this could be only special for that movie fans
