The Norfolk Guest House is a brilliant place to stay! Unfortunately situated right next door to an empty property, The Norfolk, however, appears very well kept, located just a couple of hundred yards from the beach. Although there is no car park, there's plenty of parking on the street, and we've had no trouble finding space very close to the hotel each time we've returned. The hosts could not be more helpful. Friendly and welcoming, we felt very well looked after from the moment we arrived. The room is spotlessly clean, as is the tiny, but well designed en suite. A rather lovely touch is that the towels are folded into animal shapes on the bed when you arrive! A reasonable choice of teas and coffees is provided in the room. Another really lovely point is that when asked if I'd prefer Assam tea for my breakfast in future, and receiving the affirmative, we returned to the room in the afternoon to find a small bag of Assam tea bags in the room. Another really lovely touch was that we'd put our toothbrushes into the beakers provided for overnight drinks, and on return from our morning out, extra beakers were provided. The hosts are anticipating our every need! Breakfast is good. Allow me to recommend the scrambled eggs on toast. There's a decent selection for breakfast, which is ordered the night before. There are also cereals and juice with a selection of jams and marmalades. The guest house has 3 large, friendly cats, although they're not allowed in the dining room or your bedroom, the ginger one will try! He's a friendly beast. This is a great guest house, and I'm already looking forward to staying here again.

I stayed here for three weeks whilst trying to find somewhere to live for my year in industry between university. I could not have hoped for a better place to stay whilst settling in. Rob and Dee are an endless wealth of hospitality, and knowledge of Felixstowe. They are always trying to improve your stay, asking preferences on breakfast and trying to make your room meet your comforts and needs. Wish I could have stayed there the whole year!!
