Room I stayed in 317 was lovely, two single beds and a double, beds where comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean sink was blocked but sorted straight away. Curtains in the room could do with more hooks in them to stop them hanging otherwise happy with room. All the staff where lovely and friendly and hats off to the chef as food was delicious. Would definitely come back.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Booked for five nights and didn't stay one. Dirty, smells of damp, nicotine and weed. No one on reception. A desk. Rooms shown are not any that we seen. Booking. Com refused to give a refund after we complained. I have never seen anywhere as run down and awful. Booking. Com get their commission while I am £749 out of pocket. Disgrace. If these rooms were £20 a night I wouldn't have stayed. Got another Hotel for five nights £300 cheaper!. Swimming pool, sauna and gym. Clean rooms and fantastic food. Cannot believe this hotel is allowed to continue.
We have just stayed here for 4 nights when we went into the room it was not very clean there was rubbish still on the floor socks in the draws there was cracks all down the walls also there was damp on the wall the towels never got changed at all and the shower was that small the water went all over the floor the shower kept going cold then boiling my partner got burnt because could not move in the shower we had to take are own rubbish out as never emptied the bins the furniture was broken very cold. we had the heating on for about a hour in the 4 days we was there not a lot to do in the hotel but the one good thing the staff was very nice and helpful there was a dog every time someone walked passed the dog was barking if you want a good holiday don’t stay here
On arrival, the room we were given was filthy, hypodermic needle wrappers and dirty tissues down the side of the bed.Needless to say, we requested another room. That room was slightly better, however needed a damn good clean. Window ledges filthy, dirty tissues to stop the draft, plaster falling off the walls. The food is very basic, battered fish every night as a choice, pork 2 evenings running. Although you could of had ,battered fish, again. Or 1 other option. Breakfast was good. Some of the staff are lovely, especially the young geordie man behind the bar, he was great. Others not so great, especially the lady behind reception, who smirked at my husband when he asked for help, to sort a shower out in our room that was falling apart. However staff did come later to show us how to use it the best way we could. Watch out for the hooves too, nearly fell over 1 when we got out of the lift. Entertainment was good. This place needs a massive clean up.and money spent on furniture that's not falling apart or shabby looking. Oh and the dog hairs left all over the bedroom carpet need sorting out. Damp in rooms needs looking at. No we wont be going there again
Staff where welcoming. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We had a standard double room was very small for 2. Lack of plugs sockets and the only one available was half way up the wall. Luckily I always carry an adaptor so we could still charge our things. Walk in shower was great. Plenty of choice at breakfast but would say you need to be down by 8.30. Entertainment available for those that like that or there was a nice quiet area on the 1st floor to sit and watch the world go by on the promenade. My only negative was having to go through people smoking by the entrance to the hotel. Maybe a smoking area off to the side past the car park area would be better.
Decent sized room. The food is really good and they have great staff. Clean room when we arrived and when the caretakers came. I also like the pool table and table tennis. There are also alot entertainment In the bar like bingo and more. The staff are really friendly and always try and help.Rooms: 4/5
The room was damp, paint peeling off the wall, the bed that was shoved right up against the small bedroom window had bits of peeling paint on it. When we moved the bed away from the wall, the floor was covered in it too. BIG cracks both sides of the window, one was so wide you could get a 1p inside it, cracks above the door. There was a big gap underneath the door which let a big draft through. The room was cold, heating only came on for a couple of hours, then it wasn't that warm. Couldn't open 2 drawers on the bedside cabinets. The table where the kettle was didn't even have a socket to plug kettle in, we had to put kettle on floor n plug it in, because that's where the plugs where. No little shelf or hangers in shower cubicle to put shower gel. Very disappointed with room. In the toilets in the entertainment room. No paper towels or hand driers, instead 3 hand towels , how unhygienic is that. Especially after what we have all gone through the last 3yrs. Didn't use them toilets. And I have never had to pay a hotel to look after our bags n stuff, because our room wasn't ready n we wanted to go out. We've paid to stay with you, its not our faults the rooms aren't ready. But bloody ridiculous that we had to pay an extra £4 to have our bags looked after. The food was OK, the staff in the dining room where friendly n helpful. But won't ever be back again.
Room was VERY small, could only get round sideways. Was clean. Food was good. Disappointed that, despite stating on Website, there was No coffee shop, or restaurant. Breakfast and evening meal, very chaotic!!! Not enough tables for guests!!! And, the lift!!!!!????? Very very tiny!!!!! Waited ages!!!Rooms: 1/5
After reading reviews I was very apprehensive about staying here. Was in room 209 and parents in 211. Friendly staff at reception. Paid for car parking which was 5 a night. Went to rooms. 209 very big bed. Settee looking out 2 beach. Small bathroo.. Clean etc. 211 was double bed and a single with a massive wet room as mam disabled. Again very clean Fabulous entertainment both nights
Hotel was clean and tidy, but had a strange sort of cleaning fluid smell throughout. The room had a sea view but was a bit small and cramped. We had Dinner bed and breakfast and I had Turkey for dinner but it was a bit overcooked, the vegetables were fresh and there was chocolate sponge and custard for pudding. Overnight was all OK, the room was warm with only a bit of the outside wing blowing in through the windows. Breakfast was a full English and was presented on a servery with resh coffey, all in all it was well worth the £66.00 cost for the stay.
