Good food and beers. Nice location. Not so pleasant an environment for meal as was loud, chaotic and hot. Have to struggle to get to bar to order food and drinks, but staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely pub near the canal. Started here for a quick pint before heading out on my new kayak. After a couple hours paddling down this stunning canal we ended up back at the pub for one more refreshing pint. Can't beat it. Youtube channel REYNOLDS outdoors

The only vegan option they had was a five bean chili served with rice,, garlic bread and salad, although I wouldn't call a handful of iceberg, some red onion, 1 cherry tomato and 2 slices of cucumber a salad. The chili was tasty and spicy.

Nice little pub that serves very tasty food. It's ideal for us because we have two rescue dogs that can't be left on their own, so we are always looking for dog friendly places to go and eat. When you book, just tell them you have a dog, and they will gladly accommodate you. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for Sunday roast after walking with my husband the staff were very polite and helpful the pub is run efficient our lunch didn't take long to come out it was lovely nice portion size and tasted lovely will definitely go again when we are walking that way

Called in for lunch after walking from Long Eaton....food was delicious,hot and well presented,as always. The staff were friendly,attentive and very well mannered,as they always are. Looking forward to our next visit.

Food nice pub very cold kept jacket on.on this basis disappointing I expect it to be warm. Food had gone up expectedly which I was prepared for but not to heat the place is unacceptable so would not return sorry

Had a nice family meal, food was served quick. Came out hot. Friendly atmosphere. Reasonable cots too. Also you can have a little stroll by the waters edge where there are boats mored. No complaints.

A good selection of dishes. prices are reasonable. It locates just 5 minutes drive off M1 junction 24a. Trent river and canal are nearby in a short distance walk.
