Stumbled across The Mustard Seed while out Gedling way and so pleased we did. Traditional cafe well executed. Highlights include the beautiful embroidered table cloths, really good tea and the homemade quiche (not at all watery and the wholemeal pastry was delicious). Gentle background music made for a relaxed atmosphere and toys for children to play with entertained our daughter.

I've taken several visitors from other countries here. A lovely example of a very traditional English tea. One can order tea, cake, sandwiches, quiche, jacket potato etc.
This place is perfect for a light lunch and the tables outside are great when it's sunny. There's ambient (instrumental) music in the background. The crockery is beautiful mismatched pieces of fine China mostly which has floral patterns on it. Truly idyllic.

Had lunch here today... Amazingly tasty salmon quiche all home made even slaw too.
Fabulous! At a good honest price
Well done Mustard seed Tea room. Will come again!
