The food is incredible, best I have had in my 7 years in UK. The shop was full when I was there and everybody was talking to each other across the tables as if they were long time friend, I felt so welcomed, and everyone was calling me by my name. A wonderful place of Christian people who care about each other. I love going there, even if it's to just sit and read my book.
Not just shopping! Beautiful surrounds, fellowship, great service and a really wonderful selection of unusual gifts and original cards.
Lovely freindly staff. This place is clearly run with passion from the heart. Relaxed calm but friendly atmosphere. Beautifully adorned surroundings. Fresh, organic , home made tasty food. There's nothing to dislike and everything to love here. And given its a book/gift shop its quite unique. Couldn't recommend more!
Raving theocratic loonies, but I applaud them for standing up to the COVID behemoth and refusing to close. As much as I detest their religious views and how they speak to others who disagree with them, they have a right to hold those views and do not deserve to be deprived of the right to conduct business. If you don't like it here - don't go. Simple. The coffee, cake and sandwiches are decent enough. Shame on all you worthless non-entities posting your snarky 1-star reviews accusing them of being "COVID deniers". If you still believe in the COVID *narrative*, you're more stupid than flat-earthers. Or could it be that you're just well-paid stooges?
A gem of a place with an abundance of endless books and gifts of excellent quality . Such a joy to enter an independent shop in this day and age and needs to be used so we don't lose it . Extremely friendly helpful staff give you a lovely welcome it was our first visit . It's the sort of place where , especially if you're local , it could easily become your ' Hub ' . It just has that feel to it . An hour or so in the delightful tearooms with it's beautiful China tea services and white linen table cloths , could easily give you the impression you will be paying an arm and a leg for this privilege! . But you don't. The prices are very modest and fair compared to most tearooms indeed . My wife and I enjoyed the most delicious , generously filled ham and cheese toastie with a fresh side salad for £5.95 each and the ham was thick cut ' farmhouse ' stuff too ! . On a warm day , you would find it hard to upseat yourself from the cottage style garden area with it's eye-catching stonework surprises . Get yourself over there and be delighted , like we were and will be again , real soon ! .
The last time i went here, nobody came into the shop area to see if i needed any help. I'm in a wheelchair and have been with my sister many times. Usually, in the first part of the shop i can just get around, but now they have put alsorts on the floor, so i can't get through in my wheelchair and it will be difficult for pushchairs and not good for elderly
Great little garden and friendly staff. The garden is really lovely and there's a few tables on the lawn, which makes it a nice place for afternoon tea. There's a good range of home baked cakes and slices each day. Food is generally good without being spectacular and sometimes service could use a bit more haste but other than that, a pleasant place to spend some quality down time.
My friend Claire and I met Chris today.......she is very kind, friendly and approachable aswell as being a great Baker!! The effort that goes into the mustard seed is massive, fresh homade cakes, quiche and pasta dishes. Proper capuccino machine. Beautiful garden.Stunning book shop.Beautiful cards and gifts. On top of that she has time for you. Amazing women. Some of the reviews I think are unfair and unkind. Give the place a go, it's lovely.
It's good that this place stayed open during the extremely harmful lockdowns. Lock downs are meant only for convicted criminals in prison. Jesus Himself was a travelling preacher, who regularly mixed with sinners and the 'unclean,' so He clearly would have been very against the, obviously false mainstream Corona narrative.
Excellent food, cooked fresh for you. Good selection of cakes. Great place for food and fellowship.
