My partner and I recently stayed at the hotel, this being our second visit. Positives: - Excellent location and relaxed atmosphere. - Spacious, well presented and clean rooms. - Very good food. Breakfast included which is excellent. - Dog friendly (which was one of the main reasons we returned). Room for improvement: - Staff could be more friendly and attentive - seemed that we were being ignored at times. Also, the service in the bar area was non-existent (despite this, a service charge was added on to our bill). - My partner had made a special request for soy milk on her booking form (for dietary requirements) but his was not provided during our stay. - Slightly more expensive than our first stay, but downgraded to one of the old stable rooms (still nice, but smaller and less luxurious than our room in the main building). Overall, a pleasant experience but things to work on.

We visited this lovely inn for dinner with our dog. We were all made to feel so welcome 😊 Fantastic meal in beautiful surroundings followed by a walk around the unbelievably idyllic village.

UNHYGENIC / RUDE STAFF / NOISY. Stayed here a while ago, room freezing on arrival and no milk for tea, none came when requested. Room was noisy at night. Returned after long journey recently & I asked if it was possible to wash my babies bottle (myself) after a long car journey to get there was told by a rude blonde ‘manager’ to do it in the toilets! How disgusting & unhygenic! When I asked if I could do it in a kitchen sink she says no & I was made to wait for ages, ensuing crying baby & weird looks from others at the bar until the bottle was returned. It was not washed but briefly swilled with water. I had no option but to feed him from it anyway. It’s not safe to feed a baby from a dirty bottle.

Very expensive. They tried to accommodate for my partner's allergies, but made changes to the meal without running it past us first and we ended up with something not listed in the meal's description, that is an allergen to him.
