The Montefiore Hospital offers patients in and around the Brighton and Hove area a unique healthcare experience.

Building on the success of the network of hospitals that Spire Healthcare operates throughout the UK, the Montefiore Hospital opened in November 2012 as Spire Healthcare’s 38th and newest site. The Montefiore is a multi-disciplinary hospital that offers a comprehensive service for most medical conditions and cosmetic procedures. Our services are available to everyone, whether covered by medical insurance or choosing to self-pay.

The hospital has been designed to make the patient experience as comfortable and streamlined as possible, so all aspects of treatment, including consultations, diagnostic tests and any surgery, will take place at the Montefiore.

The Montefiore Hospital aims to deliver exemplary patient focused care, right on the doorstep of the city’s 250,000 residents.

I recently underwent a hip replacement at Montefiore Hospital, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The support and communication provided before, during, and after the operation were excellent. While no surgery is inherently pleasant, I am incredibly grateful to surgeon Daniel Wilson and his team for making the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. Most importantly, I now have a fully functional and pain-free new hip. Thank you!

I have recently had cause to have an mri scan. This was not as simple as it might sound as I have a type of pacemaker fitted which resulted in two hospitals refusing to do an mri. Diagnostic Imaging at the Montefiore Hospital is second to none in the way they treat their patients. They had to do a lot of prior work to ensure my safety. The attention and care I received was second to none. They were calm and efficient which gave me complete confidence and helped me through not only before, during but after the procedure. Well done The Montefiore Hospital thoroughly recommend their care. They fully deserve their CQC Outstanding achievement.

UPDATE May 2025nI had cause to visit for myself this year. GP was good, staff tried v hard to be helpful. Unfortunately, there's still an overriding feeling that inter departmental communication is not good e.g. they billed me after I'd paid and no-one could print out my results authorised by GP that I'd paid 490 GBP for.nnWe arranged they would email my results so I could take to my home country, however I didn't recieve the log in code. The system they used to transfer the info advised 'if you have problems logging in... get in touch using the info below:nnSpire Montefiore BrightonnTelephone no.:nEmail Address:nnHopeless! So here comes another round of trying to talk to them on the 'phone. The last call was 45 minutes ‍nnSEPTEMBER 2024 for my partnernThe consultant was marvellous when we got to see them. However, the hospital itself has unbelievably bad service. Horrendous. They send texts and emails confirming appointment times when the consultant isn’t even there.nnTwice we wasted £70 in taxi fares and spent 5 hours trying to uncover who knew what and who is is responsible for what… and never really found out.nnEveryone we spoke to was kind and tried to be helpful but we got nowhere. The management is very inefficient and ineffective. How is this a private hospital? The right hand doesn’t know what the left-hand is doing.  God help those who are shy or not assertive.

Excellent service by surgeon Mrs Reim Johnson. I have been very fortunate to have had Mrs Reim Johnson perform carpal tunnel surgery on my hands over the last 6 months. Throughout the consultations, surgery & follow up, she is absolutely fantastic & in my opinion, the best. Her approach & manner was exemplary & made me feel not only at ease but totally valued as her patient. She is absolutely dedicated & a credit to the team at Montefiore Hospital.

In for day surgery on a torn triceps. Excellent treatment from the whole surgical team and first class support from Tracy and the post op nursing team
