Popped into eat at 6pm. Ordered gammon eggs and chips and pork and leek sausages with mash, didn't mind waiting for our food to be cooked fresh which was about 20 mins. Absolutely fantastic food we could not fault it and very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend.

Just been taken over.

Very good beer, reasonable food, dogs welcome. Good bar snacks. Staff have good attitudes.

Nice little pub, but nothing fancy. Nice place for a pint though.

Have eaten here a few times now and it's always been excellent. A warm friendly  welcome and great food by the canal.

At least a 4. The pub in pretty canalside setting in old Penkridge. Good car park accessed from side road. Nicely laid out, modern clean loos and most important a good meal at the right price.

Been using The Boat for some years, especially on Burger Night. Always very good value for money. Tonight......very disappointed.  Meals sooo much smaller. Infact leaving now to go and get somerhing to eat !!
