About

The Best Pub in W2

Story

Set in the heart of Bayswater and only a stone’s throw from Hyde Park, The Mitre is a beautiful grade II listed building from 1850 which is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Having retained many of it’s original features such as etched glass, mosaic floors and open fireplaces, it is a fine example of a traditional English pub. Come and enjoy our relaxed and casual atmosphere where we serve fab food, a selection of real English ales, plus beers from around the world and a wine list to match anyone’s palate.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

We stumbled upon this gem by for a Sunday roast. It's one of the best roasts I've ever had. More on the expensive side, but the quality of the food is well worth the extra pennies.
I went for dinner with my family on bank holiday Monday. Food and service were absolutely amazing. They have taken very good COVID-19 precautions and felt very safe. This was our first visit and we loved it. Will definately return. Thank you
Food and drinks were good. We had to wait a little bit for the service. Even when outside you're not allowed to smoke.
Very family friendly pub. The kids menu has variety. We had the fish and chips and sunday roast. Dessert was great too! The last time we visited this place was 2013; we returned again today 2019 and food was as good! Highly recommended!
The staff is nice, service is quick. However I would not recommend the sticky toffee pudding. It was overpriced and not of good quality dry cake and tasted a bit burnt.
I ordered the sirloin roast. The meat was juicy and flavourful! The sides were amazing too. I can imagine myself just ordering the sunday roast’s sides.
Lovely atmosphere, great food. Friendly staff. Slightly more expensive than your average pub, however the price is fair and reflected in the food and service.
