Love visiting The Met in Bury, went to see Limehouse Lizzy a Thin Lizzy tribute band, lifts up to the concert hall with a bar area, nice concert hall with a small stage you can get right near the stage if early enough, luckily I was. There is a balcony area if you like to sit during the concert.
Been twice. Perfect sound system. Bars great. Can get a bit stuffy inside, when packed. Great venue for any band!
1st time visiting the met and I was pleasantly surprised as it was lovely and welcoming and really clean and very well organised. Staff were all very friendly and when my daughter needed a plaster for her finger I asked and received 1 within minutes as the staff were so fast at communicating. Performance was fantastic and I will be booking again and again
Cracking small venue. Looks like it can be converted easily to an all-seated theatre from a 95% standing venue. Located right in Bury town centre, easy walk from bus & tram station. Decent sized bar and restaurant downstairs, good selection of beers, both cask & keg. Good views and good sound. Impressive building.
Took our son for a Popstar Party. A pre-booked activity where The Met gave him the opportunity to feel like a music star. The first part of this was a tour of the venue where we were educated about backstage areas, sound and lighting secrets and the different things that go on there throughout the year. Afterwards we went through to the recording studio where the boy was given little tips to help him learn to play piano and drums. None of us had ever been in a recordingbstudio before today, and we were really impressed with the set up. After some professional photos, it was time to record his pre-arranged song. In all it was a memorable experience for my son, but I want to give special praise to Beth who took some amazing photos capturing great memories, and Dan, too, who was a very informative tour and more impressively, was an absolute magician in the studio. The way he made the recording sound, both during and after, blew my wife and I away. We know a lot of work goes in to making a recording sound good, but we weren't aware of the levels of knowledge required, and Dan is exceptional at it. Both Dan and Beth were very accommodating and added to the memorable experience, as well as providing us with info about other places we can go to progress our lad into a future in music. On the whole it was a lovely couple of hours and we'll certainly return one day soon to record more music. Thsnk you Dan and Beth, the popstar party is a fantastic and unique activity and we'll not forget how great you made Eric feel.
First visit here to watch Vicky Jackson. The event was well managed. The environment was clean, modern with an architectural twist. The room was a perfect size and with great sound too. We didn't manage to get a table at Automatic prior to the event but did grab a drink there before and after which was also fine. We would definitely visit again
Nick Bold with his George Harrison tribute last night. A full audience, standing ovation, brilliant musicians with tremendous talent. Met theatre a great venue for this event. The restaurant!!!! Wow!!! Thankbyou for the best vegetarian meal ever!!!
Great venue, great sound.. safe and comfortable environment. Clean toilets, seating and bar area. Pleasant and helpful staff.
Went to see The Bohemians and what a show From getting there the staff were extremely helpful happy and couldn't ask for anything more, prices at the bar were very reasonable and the overall venue was spot on Thanks for a great night cheers
First time at The Met & have to say,it's a stunning venue,had a fantastic night watching Apollo Junction,will definitely be making more visits in the future.
