No visit would be complete without having fish and chips from The Mermaid Barmouth. Local and tourist favourite. 11.45 we were queued up up ready for it to open small fish and chips £6 medium £7 excellent value. Really enjoyed our meal, you can sit in or take away. If like us you have to queue its well worth the wait.
The best of Wales. Always busy. We need to wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes. The time i were there was nearly 5 pm in the evening. I waited around 20 minutes . The best fish and ships in the whole UK . No parking. Only 17 people can eat in. The batter fried cod fis was so succulent inside and crispy outside, and the wedges they fry a massive amount of it not from the refrigerator just chop in the machine and into the pool of good quality oil we can see through the glasses itself.
Hands down the best chippy for miles. Great prices and the quality is superb. We tried quite a few things, including battered halloumi, cheese and onion fry and the best was the chicken goujons. These were only £1 each and we're out of this world. Proper chicken breast in a lovely southern fried coating!
1st time I had been however girlfriend knew about .nFound a table but luck of the draw if you get one .nWe arrived at the right time as 10mins later the que was starring.nCooked fresh .nLovely piece of codnPlenty of chips all tasted amazing!!n10 out of 10 !!
Always a must to visit this chippy.nGood menu to choose from but I always just have fish and chips.nPrices are always good.nFood is always great and you get a good portion size.nYou can eat in or take away.nThis has got to be up there in my favourite sea side chippys.
