Good locals pub with a warm welcome. Girl behind the bar was polite and efficient. Had large screen tv , and was showing horse racing which makes a change . Had a couple of pints which were very reasonably priced. Place to have a good chat , will be back.
Not a very nice pub. It's not disabled friendly. I watched the young darkhaired barmaid laugh as she and her friend watched a disabled man called Dan struggle out his wheelchair drag himself up the step and slide across the floor. She offered no help at all. More interested in chatting to the man at the end of the bar than serving and helping customers. I won't be spending my money in this pub if this is how they treat customers in need. Outrageous.
Empty pub. Had just two old age pensioners inside. The whole pub has only 3 tables. However the older barmaid was lovely and welcoming and encouraged me to stay which was nice. However when the miserable young very large barmaid took over she was miserable and made me wait over 10 minutes as she was more intrested in serving children sweets than serving me. I gave up and left. Went to the pub next door. I won't be returning purely down to the miserable attitude of the barmaid.
Attended a private party was pleasant but lack of non alcoholic beer available for designated drivers marks it down.

I love the Mars other people in there are so friendly I'm going in there for years even for my silver jubilee party when I was a kid change match just some of the people that go in there that's but most of the people that go in there been going in there for years nice atmosphere recommend you should visit if you ever
Great little pompey pub. went in today as I'm down from Woking. use to use this when I was younger on a Friday and Saturday, and I hasn't changed! Great prices and friendly staff.thanks!

Nice to see a back street pub still popular and doing well with so many closing. Run by the same family for over 4 decades.
