Story

The historic Manor House is the home of Dawlish Town Council and their meetings are held in the Council Chamber. Rooms are also available for private hire. Many local groups already use the Manor House for their regular meetings the Local History Society and numerous classes are run on a weekly basis Yoga, Dancing and Keep Fit. The Manor House was built circa 1811 and is a fine Georgian building with many attractive architectural features. Once on the outskirts of the old town, now the house and its grounds provide a tranquil oasis in the centre of Dawlish enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. An extensive and sympathetic complete refurbishment of the house sparkling bright with fresh paint, new carpets and curtains and blinds fitted. A state of the art lift provides easy access to all 3 floors.

We had our wedding here in August 2023 and what can I say… We were super accommodated. Everything we wanted to set up and decorate we could and were even helped by staff. They allowed us to have our dog present at our wedding which was just lovely !! The venue looked amazing. It was lovely and clean, all facilities were useable. However apologies for the confetti cannons, I didn’t read all the small print !! We were able to collect items the following day which was great and they even allowed us to donate our floral displays to the mayors afternoon tea the following day, which made me feel very happy that others were benefitting from them and they were not just wasted. Lovely venue, lovely staff, lovely day. Our wedding dreams really came true !! Thank you so much Sarah & Ryan x

Dawlish Painters art group meet here on a Thursday morning. 9:30 am to 12:00 noon.
We came here to view the hired rooms to consider for our wedding reception. Not too bad! Good size for parties and number of cars park just outside. Staff are really nice, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Its good for affordable prices too
Lovely historic building now used as the town council meeting place plus a community venue for lots of clubs and groups. It is set in the Manor park grounds that make a lovely backdrop. The house has lots of individual rooms to hire or you can hire the whole building for a big family party or wedding!
Excellent entertainment food great we go there two or three times a year staff friendly can't fault it well done
Big old manor house has large rooms for hire and used for voting. Local and Europe. Also has Railway Model Room top floor "00" Gauge. Really nice layout worth a look Tuesday nights. Will check on that.
Had my Daughters wedding reception there did our own catering staff very helpful. Loverly setting.
Beautiful setting, exceptional children's play area
